Security doors

Security doors offer protection against the unauthorised entry of persons and must therefore be designed and built to be particularly resistant to mechanical influences.

The resistance classes according to EN 1627

Security doors are divided into different burglary classes. A security door with resistance class RC2 offers much lower resistance against a physical attack than a door with class RC6.

We produce burglar-resistant security doors according to EN 1627 - 1630 in the resistance classes RC2 - RC4 and offer supplementary solutions up to RC6.

Einbruchsklasse

Widerstandsklasse RC2

Resistance class RC2

Casual criminals use simple tools such as screwdrivers, pliers or wedges.

Doors in this class fulfil a low burglary resistance and are used in the following areas:

  • Average living area
  • Workshops
  • Trade

Test standard: according to SN EN 1627-1630
Test duration: 15 minutes
Resistance time: 3 minutes


Widerstandsklasse RC3

Resistance class RC3

Occasional or experienced perpetrators use simple tools as well as additional leverage tools.

Doors with the class RC3 are often used in areas with increased security requirements, such as:

  • Upscale living area
  • Business division
  • EDP systems
  • Banks

Test standard: According to SN EN 1627-1630
Test duration: 20 minutes
Resistance time: 5 minutes


Widerstandsklasse RC4

Resistance class RC4

The experienced perpetrator additionally uses sawing and striking tools. This class is used when there are high security requirements.

Doors in this class are used in the following areas:

  • Army
  • Banks
  • Data centres

Test standard: According to SN EN 1627-1630
Test duration: 30 minutes
Resistance time: 10 minutes

Resistance class RC5

The experienced perpetrator additionally uses power tools such as a drill, jigsaw or reciprocating saw and angle grinder. This class is used for higher security requirements.

Doors in this class are used in the following areas:

  • Army
  • Banks
  • Data centres

Test standard: According to SN EN 1627-1630
Test duration: 35 minutes
Resistance time: 15 minutes


Widerstandsklasse RC6

Resistance class RC6

The experienced perpetrator additionally uses powerful power tools, such as a drill, jigsaw or reciprocating saw and angle grinder. This class is used for the highest security requirements.

Doors in this class are used in the following areas:

  • Army
  • Banks
  • Data centres

Test standard: According to SN EN 1627-1630
Test duration: 40 minutes
Resistance time: 20 minutes
