RU = Resistant Unit: The resistance unit is not shown as a current value due to the security, the actual time remains hidden.
*These figures are approximate values! There are major differences between private and commercial safes. In addition, an existing alarm system changes the amount of the sum insured. Please speak to your insurance company about your individual insurance cover.
Insurance companies use the EN grade (European standard EN 1143-1) to define the amount of cover* for the insurable contents of the safe (cash).
Various mechanical and thermal burglary tools are used for testing. The longer the safe can withstand, the higher the resistance grade.
