Double-bit lock

The double-bit lock is a secure key lock. Thanks to the complex mechanics, it is impossible to break open with a lock pick. The safe can only be opened with the precisely matched key. One bit on the key transports the bolt (lifting the tumblers) while the second bit ensures that the tumblers are not lifted too high. If the key is worn, the lock may jam when closing.
